Ezra Star spent her early years in Venezuela. From a very young age, she was fascinated by her grandmother’s cooking and loved to examine how dishes were made through their recipes. Her mother encouraged her curiosity through reading, and helped Ezra learn English by reading American cookbooks. Fueled by her drive to understand the complexity of structures,Ezra studied biochemistry and public health in school, and worked as a biochemist in a lab for many years. During this period, she also took a job as a bartender to pay tuition, and quickly became so fascinated with drink making and hospitality she decided to make it a career.
In 2010, Ezra began working for the Barbara Lynch Gruppo as a barback at Drink. Since then, her 4 years of dedication and creativity behind the bar not only accelerated her growth, but have also earned her international recognition amongst some of the most respected professionals in the beverage and hospitality industry.
In Ezra’s new role as the General Manager of Drink, she will be responsible for all aspects of the spirits and cocktail program, including product sourcing, education, and team development.
