A long-time veteran of the restaurant industry, Drink General Manager, Ezra Star's career behind the bar began in Boston while she was studying Biochemistry and Public Health. 

Upon realizing that her passion was in hospitality, Ezra left the medical world behind in pursuit of a position in the more social bar scene.  Landing at Barbara Lynch’s acclaimed cocktail bar Drink in 2011, Ezra rose through the ranks from Barback to General Manager, learning the business from soup to nuts in the process.   She has been instrumental in developing programs and systems for staff education during her time at Drink, fostering some of Boston's brightest bar talent over the years.   

Under Ezra's leadership, Drink has won numerous awards including multiple appearances on The Worlds 50 Best Bars list and "World’s Best Bar" in 2013 at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards. In addition to the accolades the bar has received, Ezra herself has won and been nominated for many awards including StarChefs "Rising Star 2015," Food & Wine’s “Best New Mixologist" in 2015 and nominated for “American Bartender of the Year" in 2017 at the Spirited Awards.  Ezra has also consulted on and developed numerous bar programs both in Boston and Internationally. 

Her favorite part of bartending is taking care of people, and helping to make special moments for her guests.  On days off, you can find Ezra with friends at a bar enjoying wine and cocktails, like her shift drink of choice, a Sazerac with Cognac.
